Sewer Scopes
A sewer scope is a visual inspection of the main sewer, also known as the “lateral line” from the home to the city tap or septic tank. The primary goal of a sewer scope is to identify defects in the material that could cause major issues. Each sewer scope inspection comes with a written/digital report and a video.
Cost is the reason you should have a sewer scope completed when purchasing a home. A sewer line replacement can cost upwards of $25,000! or more depending on material used and labor. It is better to know as much information about major systems before purchasing a home. We are not sewer contractors, but we will help you determine if one is needed.
We offer sewer scopes as a stand alone service or with your home inspection. We recommend having a sewer scope inspection completed with every home inspection. It will help you rest assured if there are no issues, or give you more bargaining power during your contingency period. Clients do receive a discount when purchased with a home inspection.
